I had a fantastic stay at this hostel. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, giving me great recommendations for things to do in the area. The hostel had hot water showers and comfortable beds. In addition, the location was great, within walking distance to the beaches and restaurants.

We loved our stay at Ceylon Hostel in Unawatuna! The location was perfect, just a short distance from the beach and nestled in a safe and quiet local area. The host went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, even waking up at 4am to bring us to the bus stop and helping us plan the rest of our Sri Lankan trip. The breakfast served was delicious and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. we highly recommend Ceylon Hostel for a wonderful stay in Unawatuna.

They went above and beyond to assist with organizing my holidays in Sri Lanka. the location was perfect, away from the touristy areas but still close enough to enjoy nearby restaurants. the hostel was extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. the simple yet delicious breakfast with fresh fruits and bread was a great start to the day. this place offered excellent value for money and I highly recommend it. Cons: Nothing, all great! 👍.

The rooms at Ceylon Hostel-Galle are cozy and equipped with everything I needed, like free WiFi and a safe. I loved the view of the garden from certain rooms, it's so calming. The shared bathrooms were clean, and the complimentary toiletries were a nice touch.

Personally, I felt that having a shared bathroom in all the rooms was a bit inconvenient. But hey, that's just me.

The free WiFi was also a bonus, allowing me to easily stay connected with my loved ones.

If I had to suggest one improvement for senior travelers, it would be to have more assistance available from the children working there. Sometimes, a little extra help or guidance can go a long way in ensuring a better vacation experience for us seniors.

Absolutely nothing.

The staff here is amazing! They were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout my stay. The rooms and bathrooms were super clean, and I loved having access to a kitchen and dining area. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and definitely one of the best I had during my trip. Additionally, the location was perfect, being close to both the railway station and the beaches. I highly recommend this place!

There were a few downsides to my stay. the shower had very little water pressure, making it difficult to shower, especially after a long swim at the beach.
